Local 483: The Friend of Wage Earners in Idaho
This page invites you who are unfamiliar with unions to learn what the
benefits are for wage-earners who become Teamster members through Local
483. We also invite you to check out the resources and wealth of
information found in the
International
Brotherhood of Teamsters' website.
Why Would Wage Earners Want to Join a Union?
In Idaho, wage earners have little protection under the law and many
employers compensate their employees as little as possible. The Idaho
Teamsters, first established in 1937, provide their members with
improved benefits, working conditions, and we organize new work
contracts on members' behalf. Working together, we are building better
lives for ourselves. To learn more about the benefits of joining our
union, please contact our office.
